EXPANDING YOUR HORIZONS

Science events and outings

Elargis tes Horizons Genève (ETH) is a non-profit organisation that aims to offer young girls inspiring activities in the fields of STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Wednesday Science Outings

Every year, we organise around ten scientific activities or visits to places of interest in the Geneva region. These outings, usually held on Wednesday afternoons, are aimed at girls aged 10 to 18, with some activities designed for more specific age groups in order to ensure an optimal experience for each participant.

Biennial event

The biennial event of Élargis tes Horizons (Expand Your Horizons) is designed for girls aged 11 to 14 (8th grade and lower secondary level) from the Geneva region.

It offers them an immersive day exploring science and technology through more than 40 interactive workshops and stands, led primarily by women professionals in MINT fields (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology), in French and English.

Free of charge thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, the event gathers nearly 400 participants and demonstrates that science and technology are accessible, concrete… and exciting!
