Biennial Event - Registration for the girls

During registration, each participant will choose two workshops from among around twenty on offer.
Since spots are limited, we recommend registering quickly to secure your place and enjoy a wider choice of workshops.
Each participant will also take part in a guided tour of the Discovery Fair consisting of around twenty stands.

Important registration information
The workshop selection process has changed since last event: please follow the new instructions below instead of the old method.
What's changing
Once a workshop is full, it can no longer be selected on the form. Please choose another workshop instead.
Since registrations can be edited, you can always try again later to register for that workshop if a spot opens up.
Workshop availability is only visible within the registration form.
Before registering your daughters
- We recommend reading the Declaration of release of all responsibility related to risks, thePhoto, video and audio permission and the terms and conditions before starting registration. You'll be asked to confirm your agreement within the form to proceed.
- We recommend reviewing the list of workshops on our website with your daughters and noting the numbers of several workshops you're interested in. During registration, you'll need to select two available workshops.

Registration instructions
- Enter a parent's name under "Contact Details" and the name of the participating daughter(s) under "Primary Registration”.
If you're registering several daughters from the same family, you can complete multiple registrations in this section. - All fields are required, but the information can be updated afterward.
Choosing workshops
- Choose 2 workshops, spread across 2 of the 3 sessions.
- For the remaining session, you must select "Discovery Fair."
If your selection doesn't follow these guidelines, your registration will be adjusted automatically, and your workshop choices may be changed without notice.
If a workshop of your choice is full
Once a workshop is full, it will be shown in light gray and can no longer be selected.
Choose another workshop for now. You can always try to edit your registration later — a spot may open up, but this isn't guaranteed.
Once you've finished registering
You'll receive a registration confirmation email. Click the orange "View My Orders" button to access your tickets. We recommend printing them now and keeping them somewhere safe.
Important: This confirmation email remains your sole entry ticket, even if you make changes to your registration later.
On the day of the event
- Check-in takes place between 8:15 and 8:45 AM.
- Don't forget to bring the printed version of your tickets.
If your daughter wants to join the same workshop as a friend
If your daughter wants to take part in the same workshop (and the same session) as a friend, both girls need to register at the same time, each on a separate form (this doesn't mean filling out one shared form). If the workshop is full for one of them at the time of registration, another available workshop will need to be chosen.
Viewing or editing your registration
You can change your workshop choices as many times as needed. No new confirmation email will be sent after an edit, so please keep the email from your original registration safe.
To view or edit your registration:
- From the confirmation email, click the orange "View My Orders" button. You'll be redirected to the Eventbrite site.
- On Eventbrite, click the "Edit" button in the top right of the window. There you can view the latest saved version of your answers and make changes if needed.
Cancellation
If you've already registered and realize you can no longer attend the event, please inform Silvie Holowaty by text or email (see contact details below). Girls on the waiting list will be glad to take the freed-up spot.

Frequently asked questions
How should girls dress ?
Wear comfortable clothes and don't be afraid to get dirty !
Can my other children attend the biennial event ?
The event is open only to girls aged 11 to 14, or in 8P and CO (or equivalent).
As a parent, may I attend the workshops at the biennial event with my daughter ?
No, the workshops for girls are designed to enable them to meet female scientists, explore new topics and discover exciting careers, together with their peers. However, you are welcome to attend the opening and closing sessions in the auditorium at 9am and 3pm.
Can the girls bring their phones ?
It is possible to leave it in the supervised cloakroom to avoid losing it when moving around the building. However, if the girls wish to keep it with them, please put it in airplane mode.
Who are the supervisors for the day?
They are volunteers, either professionals working in a scientific environment or former participants who come back to help afterwards.
Are the girls free to wander around and leave the building during the day?
No. They are always guided to their workshops and do not leave the building, even during meal time.
How do girls find their guides?
There is a meeting point at the beginning and end of each workshop/discovery fair session. This will be explained in detail during the opening session in the auditorium.
What will the girls have for lunch and how is it organised?
The girls can choose between a meal with meat or a vegetarian meal. If your daughter has any specific dietary requirements, please have her bring a picnic. At mealtimes, the girls will be guided to the cafeteria by the guides.
Is the cloakroom supervised?
Yes, it is monitored throughout the day. Should it be locked, please ask the Help Desk.
What happens if I do not want my daughter to appear in the photographs?
Girls who do not wish to be filmed or photographed will be given a red lanyard, and photographers will be instructed not to film or photograph them. If a girl wearing a red lanyard is in a group that is being filmed or photographed, the image or video will be deleted during the sorting process, or her face will be blurred.
