Mother of four adult children, Sylvie Villa has a curriculum of training acquired in parallel to her family life. She is qualified as an electrical engineer (ETS ) and an engineer in physics (EPFL) and in leadership ( IMD).

After a few years in the industry where she was responsible for the development, production and installation of emergency lighting systems, she joined the HES – SO as a lecturer. She successively served as Professor, head of Department, and Head of Engineering and Architecture for the six schools of engineering of Swiss Romande.

In the last 15 years she has created events and programs to encourage young women to engage in training and technical and scientific professions. Thanks to their preparatory year, more than 150 young women have already become engineers.

She also guided groups of future engineers in company visits, offering participants the opportunity to take back on their craft, their place of woman in a technical team and the company.

Sylvie has served the community as a municipal councilor, a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud, and as a member of several boards of Directors, Committee of associations and groups of experts at the national level, until her departure for Berlin.

Sylvie founded LYVA in September 2015, a company that designs and sells discovery and exchange programs, training programs and support programs to facilitate change in the area of complex process management.
