Visit of the Sauverny Astonomical Observatory in Versoix

Event proposed by L'Observatoire Astronomique Sauverny à Versoix

Languages English and French

What is an observatory? What are the major areas of research in astronomy? What tools do astronomers use? What is the daily life of an astronomer? You will discover all these aspects during a small introduction at the Aula of the Observatory.

Visitors will then be able to watch a ten-minute screening of some of the Observatory's flagship activities, and visit an exhibition hall illustrating the celestial objects studied. The visit procedes with a visit to the computer center and mechanical workshops, and ends at the 70 cm telescope located in the dome
